“Unfortunately, an issue like poverty is not a quick fix.”Rose State College is proud to have faculty who are experts in their field. One such example is Tara Hall, professor of Sociology. NewsOK recruited Professor Hall to contribute to an article related to one of her areas of specialty: the effects of poverty.  The article focuses on Clayton, Oklahoma which is in an area that President Obama designated as one of five Promise Zones, an anti-poverty initiative that provides resources such as grants and tax incentives to help improve conditions in persistently high poverty communities.
