Midwest City, OK: For the first time in school history, the Rose State College Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams have both advanced to their respective district tournaments. The Raider men will be heading to Topeka, KS for the Plains District tournament, while the women will be playing at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa.
After riding a 5-1 record to a conference championship, the Rose State Men looked to use the momentum to propel themselves to the first regional tournament championship in RSC history. The Rose State men also received recognition for individual conference achievements, boasting the OIAC Most Valuable Player, Ala Ramadan; and 3 All-Region Selections: Jack Rose, Michael Bush and Owen Wheeler. The Raider men were undefeated in their regional tournament run, with 4 players, Dillion Loftis, Aleska Mitrovic, Owen Wheeler and Ala Ramadan, receiving All-Tournament honors, and Julio Hernandez selected as Tournament MVP.
The Rose State College Women carried an 8-2 conference record in to their regional tournament, but missed out on hosting the district tournament after a 3-2 overtime loss to Northern Oklahoma College in the regional final. The RSC women boast 3 All-Region selections: Simone Ryan, Revella Fisher and Alexis Sanders; and 4 All-Tournament selections: Simone Ryan, Jessica Titsworth, Stephanie Wainscott and Alexis Sanders.
The Rose State Men will face Kansas City Kansas Community College this Thursday, November 1 in Topeka, KS, with the RSC Women facing off against Hill College Friday, November 3 in Tonkawa, OK. Game times with be 6:30pm for the men, and 3:30pm for the women.
