Dr. Jeff Caldwell Named Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs at Rose State College Published March 13, 2018

Picture of Rose State College Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeff CaldwellMidwest City, Okla. – Rose State College has named Dr. Jeff Caldwell of Oklahoma City, the interim vice president of Academic Affairs. He will fill the roll previously held by Dr. Francis Hendrix, who retired on March 9th, following a 37-year career at Rose State.

Dr. Caldwell brings more than 18 years of educational leadership experience to the position. Prior to his new role, he served as the associate vice president of Academic Affairs at Rose State.

In his new role as vice president of Academic Affairs, Dr. Caldwell will be responsible for the academic services on campus, an off-site location (Tinker Air Force Base) and online education.

“We are proud to have Dr. Caldwell as our new interim vice president of Academic Affairs,” said Jeanie Webb, president of Rose State College. “He brings years of higher education experience and a working knowledge of the community college structure to benefit our students. I look forward to working with him in the future to keep growing this amazing college to meet workforce needs in ways no one ever expected.”

Dr. Caldwell began his educational career as Professor of Economics and Statistics in 1985.

“I am honored to work alongside the many advocates for students here at Rose State College. My role is to assist those who direct the students in their efforts to achieve their academic goals. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that the future holds.”

Dr. Caldwell earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, master’s degree from SWOSU in Business Administration, and a doctoral degree in Instructional Psychology and Technology at the University of Oklahoma.
