Rose State Students visit Capitol for Higher Education DayStudents from across Oklahoma interact with and thank legislators

OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 17, 2022) – Higher Education Day at the State Capitol is an annual event that gives students, faculty and staff from Oklahoma's public colleges and universities the opportunity to meet with legislators and explain the value and importance of higher education in Oklahoma.

Rose State College supported the event by making the trip to the Capitol to visit with legislators. President Dr. Jeanie Webb and representative students even had an opportunity to visit with Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt and other legislators in person.

“Our students are always thrilled to have an opportunity to thank legislators for their support of higher education in Oklahoma,” Dr. Webb said. “We understand the impact higher education has on people’s lives and the State of Oklahoma. We are so fortunate our State Regents remain committed to accessible and affordable public higher education for all Oklahomans.”
