Dr. Emily Stacey Named a Finalist for The Journal Record’s 2024 Woman of the Year Published October 11, 2024

The Journal Record announced Dr. Emily Stacey was selected as a finalist for the prestigious 2024 Woman of the Year awards. This recognition highlights women across Oklahoma who demonstrate exceptional leadership, dedication, and impact within their communities and fields. 

Since joining Rose State College in 2014, Dr. Stacey has been a dedicated faculty member, leading the Political Science Book Club and co-facilitating the Political Science Colloquia Series. Her teaching emphasizes the importance of civic participation and political engagement. Dr. Stacey's mission is to ignite a passion for advocacy and civic involvement in her students, encouraging them to vote, engage actively in democracy, and advocate for the causes in which they believe. 

Dr. Stacey was chosen from a competitive list of nominations and recommendations, showcasing her significant contributions and influence. She now joins a distinguished group of finalists from across the state. 

The award ceremony was held at the National Cowboy Museum in Oklahoma City. This event celebrates the remarkable achievements of women who have made a difference in Oklahoma.
