Fallon Henning Honored with OCPRA Randy Talley Rising Star Award Published November 20, 2024

Rose State College (RSC) is proud to announce that Fallon Henning, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, has been awarded the Oklahoma College Public Relations Association (OCPRA) Randy Talley Rising Star Award. Fallon was honored at the annual OCPRA Fall Workshop on November 20, 2024.

The Randy Talley Rising Star Award recognizes rising professionals in communications, marketing, and public relations at Oklahoma higher education institutions. Recipients of this honor demonstrate creativity, innovation, advocacy, expertise, and integrity in their field—qualities reflective of the award’s namesake, Randy Talley. Selection for the award emphasizes achievements from the past year.

“Fallon’s genuine empathy and deep commitment to education drive her to constantly ask, ‘What is best for the student?’” said Cordell Jordan, Vice President for Marketing and Communications at Rose State College. “This student-centered approach has inspired transformative changes in processes and communication strategies that better serve our college’s mission. Her passion for education, combined with her strategic insight and thoroughness, makes her an invaluable asset to RSC and a truly deserving recipient of this honor.”

About the Award
The Randy Talley Rising Star Award is named in memory of Randy Talley, who served as a role model and mentor to countless students and professionals during his tenure as Director of Media and Community Relations at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. With over 20 years of service on the OCPRA Board of Directors, Talley left a legacy of integrity, creativity, and excellence.

RSC congratulates Fallon Henning on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to her continued contributions to the college and the field of higher education communications.
