Rose State College Staff Member Austin Borjas Honored

Rose State College Coordinator for Student Activities and Service Learning Austin Borjas was named a 2024 NextGen Under 30 honoree. This prestigious award celebrates Oklahoma's brightest young leaders, innovators, and change-makers who are making significant contributions to their communities and industries. 

Since its inception in 2011, the NextGen Under 30 Leadership and Award Recognition Program has honored 2,890 recipients from over 421 companies and organizations throughout the state. With nearly 10,000 nominations over the past 13 years, NextGen Under 30 has become a powerful platform to highlight the exceptional achievements of young Oklahomans shaping our state's future. Millennials comprise almost half of Oklahoma's workforce, indicating the importance of celebrating and empowering young professionals like Austin Borjas, who contribute to the growth of Oklahoma’s workforce. 

Austin Borjas began his educational journey at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he gained valuable experience working in the Financial Aid department while completing his bachelor's degree in organizational leadership. His passion for student support led him to Oklahoma State University – Oklahoma City and, finally, to Rose State College. Now, as the Coordinator for Student Activities and Service Learning at RSC, Austin continues to impact and empower students by cultivating their success in and out of the classroom. His dedication to student engagement and leadership development is evident in the countless students he mentors.
