Rose State College and University of Oklahoma Announce New Transfer Agreements for Paralegal Studies Graduates Published February 18, 2025

Rose State College (RSC) and the University of Oklahoma (OU) announce a series of transfer agreements designed to create a seamless pathway for students pursuing higher education in legal and professional studies. Beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year, students who complete an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Paralegal Studies at Rose State College will have the opportunity to transfer into one of three Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Studies (BAIS) programs at OU’s College of Professional and Continuing Studies. 

The newly established agreements provide a structured transition for RSC graduates into the following OU BAIS programs:

• Business Administration
• Criminal Justice Leadership
• Organizational Leadership 

“These transfer agreements reinforce our commitment to supporting students beyond their associate degree and providing clear pathways to a bachelor’s degree,” said RSC Dean of Business Information Technology Dr. Charles DeSassure. “We are excited to work with the University of Oklahoma to expand educational opportunities for our students.” 

Under the agreements, RSC students who complete their AAS in Paralegal Studies with a minimum of 63 credit hours and a 2.0 GPA will be eligible to transfer to OU. Once at OU, students will complete an additional 60 credit hours to earn their bachelor’s degree. The agreements ensure that general education and major coursework align between RSC and OU, minimizing credit loss and reducing the time needed to complete a four-year degree.
