Rose State College Celebrates the Leadership and Legacy of President Dr. Jeanie Webb at Retirement Reception Published April 3, 2025

Rose State College celebrated President Dr. Jeanie Webb's extraordinary tenure during a retirement reception held on April 2, 2025, in the FNB Community Bank Ballroom. The evening commemorated Dr. Webb’s impactful presidency as she prepares to retire on July 1, 2025, concluding more than a decade of transformative leadership.

The reception brought together esteemed dignitaries, community leaders, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and family members to celebrate Dr. Webb’s legacy of service and visionary leadership. The evening’s program featured a series of tributes from influential figures in Oklahoma higher education and public service who have partnered with Dr. Webb throughout her career.

Special remarks were delivered by Oklahoma State System of Higher Education Chancellor Sean Burrage, Rose State College Board of Regents Chairman Greg Smith, and community leader Robert Coleman, each highlighting Dr. Webb’s contributions to advancing the college and its role within the community. Governor Kevin Stitt praised Dr. Webb’s commitment to public higher education and her role in shaping student opportunities across the state. Former Oklahoma State Regents Chancellor and current Chancellor Emerita Allison Garrett spoke about Dr. Webb’s leadership, while RSC Regent Brandon Clabes reflected on the president’s dedication to students, faculty, and staff.

The program also included a heartfelt student tribute and presentation from Karlie Robertson, secretary of the Student Senate, who expressed the student body's collective gratitude for Dr. Webb’s support of student success.

The evening concluded with poignant reflections by Chancellor Emeritus Glen D. Johnson, Dr. Roger Webb—President Emeritus of the University of Central Oklahoma and Northeastern State University and husband to Dr. Jeanie Webb—and Dr. Webb herself. Each speaker offered words of admiration, gratitude, and recognition for the positive transformation Dr. Webb brought to Rose State College. The reception closed with a touching grand finale delivered by Dr. Webb’s daughter, Anna Grace Webb, whose emotional toast honored both her mother’s professional legacy and personal inspiration.

Video tributes from across the state and campus community were also featured throughout the evening. Messages of congratulations and appreciation were shared by Cindy Mikeman, U.S. Senator James Lankford, and numerous Rose State College students, faculty, and staff, offering a chorus of voices celebrating Dr. Webb’s accomplishments and the countless lives she has impacted.

In her closing remarks, Dr. Webb reflected on her tenure with humility and pride. “Leading this incredible institution has been an honor, and I am grateful for the progress we've made together,” she stated. “Our students have always been at the center of everything we do, and every step we've taken has been to create new opportunities for their success. Thanks to the dedication of our faculty, staff, and partners over the last twelve years, we have opened doors, expanded opportunities, and transformed the college into a true four-year experience at a two-year school—empowering students to achieve more than ever before.”

Since assuming the presidency in 2013, Dr. Jeanie Webb has led Rose State College through a period of significant growth and transformation, championing initiatives that have broadened access to education, strengthened community partnerships, and enhanced the academic and campus experience for thousands of students. Her legacy will endure in the lives of those she has served and in the continued success of the college she has led.
