sUAS Mapping

Program Goals & Outcomes

Explore professional drone applications with the sUAS Mapping micro-credential. Rose State College offers this credential endorsed by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSHRE), which combines the following components to develop skills necessary for the safe, legal operation of drones:

  • Drone Mapping, Photography & Videography course (2-day, in-person)
  • DroneDeploy Academy Certified Analyst (earned within 3 months of class, online, cost included with class)
  • FAA Part 107 certification (earned prior to or within 6 months of class via the FAA)

Students who complete all three requirements are eligible for reimbursement of the class fee using OSHRE micro-credential scholarship funds and could also be eligible for reimbursement of their FAA Part 107 testing fee. Additionally, students earn a digital badge to showcase industry-relevant skills.

All micro-credentials are fully stackable with all other academic programs, allowing students to build customized pathways toward certificates, associate degrees, or even bachelor’s degrees.

Students must complete the required coursework or training to earn this micro-credential.
