Types of Aid
Rose State College offers Federal and State Grants, Federal Loans, Federal Work Study, and Scholarships. Grants and scholarships are considered “free money” and do not have to be repaid. Federal Work Study (FWS) allows eligible students to earn money by working on campus. Federal Loans have to be repaid, typically after the student drops below half time enrollment.
Financial aid is considered any resource that can help pay for college. Students must apply for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
