The Oklahoma Music Educators Association (OkMEA) selected Dr. Tracey Gregg-Boothby of Rose State College as its Higher Education Exemplary Teacher. OkMEA presented the award during the Honor Awards Reception at the OkMEA Winter Conference at the Arvest Convention Center in Tulsa.

OkMEA created the Higher Education Exemplary Teacher award to honor excellence in college-level music education. The association recognizes educators who elevate student learning, strengthen the profession through leadership and mentorship, and champion the value of music education across Oklahoma.

“Dr. Gregg-Boothby sets the standard for excellence at Rose State College,” said Jeff Conkin, Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Rose State College. “She combines deep musical expertise with a steady commitment to student success, and she builds learning experiences that challenge students and inspire them to grow. OkMEA’s recognition spotlights the extraordinary impact she makes in the classroom and beyond.”

Dr. Gregg-Boothby joined Rose State College in 2011. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Oklahoma State University, a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Oklahoma City University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting from the University of Oklahoma.

Rose State College’s Fine Arts—Music program builds a strong foundation in musicianship through engaging coursework, ensemble participation, and performance opportunities. The Music Emphasis within the Fine Arts Associate of Arts prepares students to transfer into a baccalaureate program in music performance or music education by completing the first two years of a four-year music curriculum in a supportive, faculty-guided environment.
