Glad I Chose Rose | Emily Harding (Bugher)

Rose State College proudly celebrates our students—past and present. We’re excited to introduce you to the next Raider in our “Glad I Chose Rose” series, highlighting Rose State College alumni!

Meet Emily Harding (Bugher). Class of 2015.

Emily first discovered Rose State College while she was in high school and chose to pursue an associate degree in General Studies.

When we asked Emily who made the biggest impact on her education at RSC, she immediately named Professor Hahn in English/Humanities. Emily took several classes with Professor Hahn and often built her schedule around those courses.

“Professor Hahn was an extremely inspiring professor, and you could tell she cared deeply about all of her students,” Emily said.

One of Emily’s favorite memories from RSC includes dressing up for presentations in Professor Hahn’s classes.

After graduating from Rose State College, Emily earned a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees in education from Western Governors University.

Today, Emily serves as a Special Education Teacher at Lexington High School.

Emily encourages current students to get involved on campus and connect with others. She believes the Rose State community genuinely wants to help students succeed.
