Rose State College is proud of our students – past and present. This summer, we’re launching a series, “Glad I Chose Rose,” to highlight stories from Rose State alumni.
Meet Brevin Senner. Class of 2018.
Brevin first learned about Rose State College from his high school soccer coach, Billy Martin, who had become RSC’s Head Soccer Coach. Coach Martin encouraged Brevin to consider college, and Brevin took that advice seriously.

Brevin applied and got accepted to RSC, joined the men’s soccer team, and became a member of the President’s Leadership Class (PLC).

In 2018, he graduated from Rose State and continued his education at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he earned a degree in marketing and professional sales. Brevin said, “I will never forget the feeling of walking across the stage to receive my degree. That sense of accomplishment is something I am proud of.”
Today, Brevin is the Recruitment and Engagement Specialist in the Office of Student Engagement at Rose State College. He travels across Oklahoma, visiting high schools and college fairs, sharing information about RSC with students. He has made it his mission to help students find their paths in college, just as his mentors once did for him.

Brevin shared that his PLC advisor, Dr. Kiby Harzman, had the most significant impact on him during his time at RSC, due to her positive attitude, which inspired him to keep working hard. Brevin remains grateful for her words of affirmation and encouragement.

Outside of traveling and advising students, Brevin also runs the weekly intramural sporting events at RSC. Intramurals provide students with a space to meet other people and relax after classes and homework.

Brevin’s advice for current RSC students is to “take the extra step and get involved on campus. No one is forcing you to go to class, sporting events, or clubs – going to these events is up to YOU! You might find your new lifelong friends or discover a passion for something new. None of this is possible if you don’t put yourself out there.”
Brevin remembers a favorite tradition with his roommate, Bodee Boggs, from The Village, where they would eat in the same spot every Friday. That tradition helped solidify a friendship that continues to this day.
Brevin’s final parting advice to students considering RSC is simple: “Take that leap and apply. Rose State has the potential to change your life in the most positive way.”
