Baccalaureate Track Nursing
Program Goals & Outcomes
The Associate of Science degree provides students with the analytical skills and scientific knowledge to expand and apply critical thinking to all facets of learning. The expected program outcome is to provide a comprehensive lower-division education for students who plan to transfer to a baccalaureate degree program.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Recognize the impact of biological sciences on global healthcare practices;
- Apply quantitative measurements to problems or topics related to the nursing sciences;
- Describe technologies to enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery;
- Utilize appropriate communication techniques to document healthcare solutions related to disease management and prevention;
- Relate relevant research applications to modern healthcare issues; and
- Assess ethical and legal questions encountered within the nursing field.

English Composition (6 hours)

This plan shows one possible grouping of courses that would allow students to graduate in 2 years. Students must enroll in a combination of General Education and Program Requirements to complete the degree.
