Program Goals & Outcomes
The Associate of Science degree program provides students with the analytical skills and scientific knowledge to expand and apply critical thinking to all facets of learning. The expected program outcome is to provide a comprehensive lower-division education for students who plant to transfer to a baccalaureate degree program.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Implement fundamental chemistry concepts;
- Apply chemistry knowledge to solve problems;
- Collect scientific data safely in a laboratory setting;
- Evaluate collected scientific data; and
- Apply mathematical principles to relevant chemistry concepts.
