Program Goals & Outcomes

The Community Health Worker micro-credential prepares students to support community members by improving access to health services and enhancing health literacy. This credential is ideal for individuals seeking roles in community outreach and public health education.

All micro-credentials are fully stackable with all other academic programs, allowing students to build customized pathways toward certificates, associate degrees, or even bachelor’s degrees.

Students must complete the required coursework to earn this micro-credential.

  • Complete the Community Health Worker Certification Course.
  • Participate in a minimum of 20 hours of community health fieldwork.
  • Pass the final assessment demonstrating mastery of community health principles.

After completing this micro-credential, you will receive a digital badge to showcase your skills. This badge highlights your ability to effectively support and educate community members on health-related issues.
