Earth & Environmental Sciences – Environmental Quality/Safety
Program Goals & Outcomes
The Associate of Science Degree Program provides students with the analytical skills and scientific knowledge to expand and apply critical thinking to all facets of learning. The expected program outcome is to provide a comprehensive lower-division education for students who plan to transfer to a baccalaureate degree program in Environmental Science and/or Industrial Safety.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Analyze information concerning earth & environmental issues;
- Recommend workable solutions to the technical, social, or economic challenges inherent in earth and environmental science;
- Apply core concepts or methods from natural and physical sciences to solve problems; and
- Generate testable hypotheses concerning earth and environmental problems.

Students must enroll in a combination of General Education and Program Requirements to complete the degree.
