Phi Theta Kappa honored Rose State College President Emerita Dr. Jeanie Webb with the prestigious Michael Bennett Lifetime Achievement Award during its Annual Conference.
The award recognizes retiring college presidents whose leadership demonstrates a sustained commitment to student success and to mentoring student leaders. Dr. Webb earned this distinction through a career defined by dedication to student achievement, institutional excellence, and the core values championed by Phi Theta Kappa.
“I am so excited for Dr. Webb to receive the Michael Bennett Lifetime Achievement Award,” said PTK chapter advisor and RSC professor Leanne May. “Our PTK chapter nominated her for this award to recognize her continued support of student success and leadership development. Dr. Webb has consistently been one of our PTK chapter’s most enthusiastic supporters and advocates. As President, she was aware of the value of PTK membership and encouraged our students to join PTK and get involved. Congratulations to Dr. Webb!”
Dr. Webb’s recognition reflects the profound influence of leadership that prioritizes students. Phi Theta Kappa leaders noted that nominations for this award come directly from students, making the honor especially meaningful. The nomination emphasized the deep gratitude PTK students feel for Dr. Webb’s support, not only for current students, but for generations who have benefited from her leadership.
Throughout her tenure, Dr. Webb championed opportunities that empowered students to lead, excel academically, and engage in meaningful service. That commitment strengthened both the College and the broader community.
