Rose State College’s TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program held its Annual Awards Banquet on April 28, where students were recognized for academic excellence, campus involvement, and leadership. This banquet focused on the transformative impact the TRIO Program has on our RSC students.
The evening featured speeches from TRIO advisors, student testimonials, and an overview of the 2025-2026 academic year. TRIO students are served through academic advisement, tutoring, workshops, and visits to four-year universities. Students also get to visit cultural institutions like the Greenwood District in Tulsa and museums in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
TRIO provides students with the support network needed to succeed in college as first-generation students at Rose State College.
TRIO recognized 138 students on the Honor Roll for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The program inducted Angelica Ochoa Flores, Dalton Waddell, and Spring Byington into the TRIO Hall of Fame and named Gabriel Pulido and Gadje Holbird as TRIO Ambassadors. Theresa Gordon received the Mike and Jennifer Driskill Grit Scholarship.
