Institutional Research

Institutional Research (IR) plays a crucial role on a college campus by helping students, faculty, and staff make informed decisions. By collecting and analyzing data, IR provides insights into everything from student success and graduation rates to program effectiveness and resource allocation. This data-driven approach allows colleges to continuously improve their services, curriculum, and student support systems, ensuring that the needs of students are met. Graduation Rates

The college collects data on students like you, including the number of first-time, full-time students who are working towards a degree or certificate each year. This data is broken down by factors like race, ethnicity, and gender. It also tracks how many students complete their program within a set timeframe (usually within 150% of the expected time), as well as how many students transfer to other schools if that’s part of their academic journey. This information helps the college understand and improve your experience and success.

College retention refers to the ability of a college to keep students enrolled from one year to the next until they graduate. A higher retention rate means that more students are staying at the school and successfully completing their programs.
The Rose State College Annualized FTE Report shows the overall full-time equivalency for each Fiscal Year since the College was founded in 1970.
The Rose State College Degrees Posted Report shows the overall degrees awarded by Academic Year and by Degree type.

The Student Achievement Measure (SAM) tracks student movement across postsecondary institutions to provide a more complete picture of undergraduate student progress and completion within the higher education system.
