Community & Servant Leadership
This micro-credential recognizes individuals who demonstrate servant-leadership principles, prioritize the needs of others, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Earners have shown the ability to lead with empathy, collaborate across diverse groups, initiate service-focused projects, and model ethical, people-centered leadership valued by community organizations, nonprofits, and employers committed to civic engagement.
All micro-credentials are fully stackable with all other academic programs, allowing students to build customized pathways toward certificates, associate degrees, or even bachelor’s degrees.
Students must complete the required coursework or training to earn this micro-credential.

- Complete a for-credit LEAD course at RSC from one of the following: LEAD 2103 (3 hours), LEAD 1103 (3 hours), LEAD 2113 (3 hours), or LEAD 1203 (3 hours)
- Complete a minimum number (30) of documented volunteer hours with a campus or community partner, demonstrating consistency and commitment.
- Lead a community-focused service project demonstrating planning, collaboration, and reflection. Complete a minimum number (30) of documented volunteer hours with a campus or community partner, demonstrating consistency and commitment.
Students who complete this course will receive a digital badge recognizing their understanding and application of servant-leadership principles. This badge can be shared with employers or added to a resume and/or LinkedIn profile.
Rose State College and other Oklahoma colleges and universities have memorandums of understanding, which identify course equivalencies between both institutions. These agreements aid transfer students.
