President Travis Hurst proudly recognized outstanding faculty and staff members at the 2026 Regents Luncheon. The Excellence Awards recognize faculty and staff members who consistently exceed expectations in their roles. These individuals demonstrate leadership on campus, service to the RSC community, and care to all students.
The 2026 Excellence in Teaching Award – Full-Time Faculty honored three remarkable educators for their passion, innovation, and impact in the classroom:
- Professor Kristen Kirkman, Liberal Arts & Sciences
- Professor Narges Dehdashti, STEM
- Professor Shantha Sriram, STEM
RSC also celebrated the contributions of part-time faculty with the 2026 Excellence in Teaching Award – Adjunct Faculty:
- Adjunct Professor, John Primo, Liberal Arts & Sciences
- Adjunct Professor, Sara Mehrabi, STEM
Rose State recognized two outstanding staff members for their service. The college presented the 2026 PASA Staff Excellence Award to Ken Beachler, who captures the heart and soul of RSC through his camera lens each week. The College also honored Laura O’Neal with the 2026 CSA Staff Excellence Award for her dedication to the BIT Division.
