In today’s interconnected economy, employers value graduates who can think beyond borders, understand global issues, and navigate an ever-changing landscape. Helping lead that effort is Rose State College’s Dr. Emily Stacey, who has been selected as a 2026–2027 Higher Education Ambassador for the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
The national program recognizes college and university faculty who are committed to advancing global affairs education and equipping students with the knowledge and critical thinking skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce and civic life.
As a CFR Education Ambassador, Dr. Stacey will collaborate with a national network of higher education faculty, participate in professional development opportunities, and integrate Council on Foreign Relations resources into her teaching. Throughout the academic year, ambassadors also have opportunities to present on global affairs education and share best practices with colleagues across the country.
The Council on Foreign Relations is an independent, nonpartisan membership organization, think tank, and publisher dedicated to helping people better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States. Through its Education Ambassador Program, CFR supports educators in expanding students’ global literacy by providing access to world-class resources, programming, and a nationwide network of peers.
Dr. Stacey’s appointment reinforces Rose State College’s mission to prepare graduates with the knowledge, adaptability, and critical-thinking skills needed to thrive in a global workforce and in their communities.
