Spring 2026 Convocation Kicks Off New Semester at Rose State College, Welcoming Faculty and Staff Back to Campus

Faculty and staff returned to campus for Rose State College’s Spring 2026 Convocation, launching the semester with a renewed focus on student success, collaboration, and the College’s mission to provide access to quality education for all students.

During the event, President Hurst recognized the daily work that drives the College forward and the meaningful, student-centered impact employees make across every area of campus.

“Thank you for what you do for Rose State College every single day,” President Hurst stated. “Thank you for the hours you put in that no one sees. Thank you for the extra conversation in the hallway, the careful feedback, the problem-solving, the planning, and the late emails.”

President Hurst also reaffirmed Rose State’s mission to improve the quality of life for our students and community, and emphasized the importance of meeting students where they are and helping them progress.

Looking ahead, he pointed to spring commencement as a milestone that reflects student persistence and the community-wide support that helps students finish what they started. As graduates cross the stage, they also step into careers that strengthen Oklahoma’s workforce in fields like healthcare, public service, business, technology, and the skilled trades.

As Spring 2026 begins, Rose State will continue prioritizing communication, collaboration, and a supportive workplace so employees feel equipped to do their work well and students feel supported from enrollment to completion.
