Student Email Transition

Rose State College is transitioning student email and productivity services from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 during Spring 2026.

Key Dates

  • May 22, 2026 at 5:00 PM
    Student email will transition from Gmail to Microsoft Outlook.
  • May 26 – June 4, 2026
    Additional ITS support will be available to assist students during the transition via the ITS helpline (405) 733-7356.

What Students Need to Know

Student Email

After the transition:

  • You will still be able to access old Gmail messages.
  • Gmail will no longer send or receive new email.
  • All email communication will occur through Microsoft Outlook.

Your student email address will continue to be your primary communication method for:

  • College announcements
  • Financial aid notifications
  • Canvas communication
  • Enrollment and account updates

Microsoft email and apps can be accessed through:

File Storage

  • Students will receive OneDrive storage through Microsoft 365.
  • Students will still be able to access Google Drive files for up to two years after their last enrollment.
  • Students are encouraged to begin moving important files to OneDrive.

Authentication & Access

  • Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be used for student accounts. MFA INSTRUCTIONS.
  • Microsoft tools including Outlook, OneDrive, and Office apps will be available through the standard SSO portal and office.com.
  • Students should keep their recovery information updated to avoid account access issues.

Due to possible inclement weather, Rose State College will be closing at 5:30 PM this evening, April 14th. Classes and activities after 5:30 are canceled.
