Student Resources

Students are invited to take advantage of a number of facilities and services that will help ensure success with academics. Labs, study aids, tutoring, and testing are just a few of the resources you’ll have at hand.

Learning Resources Center

Welcome to the Learning Resources Center (LRC) at RSC! Whether you are looking for a place to study individually or with friends, locate academic resources, ask one of the librarians a question, receive tutoring assistance, use a computer to work on a project, take a proctored test or receive Canvas support, the LRC is here for you.

Raider Essentials

Welcome to Raider Essentials! Raider Essentials is open to all RSC students, faculty, and staff, offering free groceries and gently used professional or everyday clothing to those in need.

Located in the Humanities Building, HUM 218, "The Study" is available for students to use as a quiet retreat to study and relax. Seating, WIFI, tables, chairs, are available.

Canvas

RSC uses the Canvas learning management system for online and on-campus courses. This learning management system enables students to engage in online classroom activities through a web browser.

Computer Labs

The College maintains multiple computer labs on campus. Students receive personal assistance and help with campus logins, basic computer questions, and locating information from helpful and knowledgeable staff members.

Reading Lab

The Rose State Reading Lab provides one-on-one, individualized instruction for students seeking to improve their reading skills. We work with RSC students who are currently enrolled in reading classes, as well as those who are not. Referrals are not required.

Tutoring Center

The Tutoring Center, located in LRC 250, is a quiet space where students can study and receive tutoring assistance when needed. Free tutoring is available to RSC students on a drop-in basis or by scheduled appointment for many general-education courses.

Writing Lab

The Rose State Writing Lab provides one-on-one help with any Rose State writing project at no charge. It's open to all students; no referral is required.

Language Lab & Cultural Resource Center

The Language Lab supports students enrolled in language courses with tools to strengthen speaking, listening, and pronunciation skills. Students and professors use the lab for individual practice and class instruction with multimedia resources to build language proficiency.

Campus Closed
